A segment of the ten-part documentary BALKAN EXPRESS - RETURN TO EUROPE, the film addresses independence, stability and future prospects in Kosovo, and the challenges the EU-Mission faces in dealing with the country's problems, particularly the catastrophic state of its economy. At the heart of the film are illuminating visits with families whose personal stories demonstrate the growing strains and pressures felt by a population little supported by the state that is forced to hold tight to traditional family-based structures.
